About us

Our History:

In 2001 the Community Health Endowment of Lincoln (CHE), whose vision is to make Lincoln the “healthiest community in the nation,” began a comprehensive planning process called the Blue Print Project. From this effort an observation emerged that “healthcare access can be improved through a coordinated and innovative network of medical translation and interpretation.” In response, CHE, in partnership with the New Americans Task Force (NATF), convened local stakeholders to develop a plan that addresses medical translation and interpretation. From this process the MTI Leadership Group was formed.
